| Colin Garland
Colin Garland has 10 years of experience and training in the theatrical arts.
Colin's training began right here at Star Maker and continued throughout his school years with the FRCT programs under the tutor of Kathleen Currie and others.
Colin was an assistant teacher and then a staff member this past season with our school and we are proud to say he is available for group and private instruction while he continues his studies.
He continues to train, and is enrolled in NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts studying Film and Television Production with a focus in directing for film.
His theatrical credits include You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Guys & Dolls, The Music Man, Grease, Into the Woods, Godspell, Les Miserables, Hello Dolly!, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel, Charley’s Aunt, Up the Down Staircase, Oklahoma!, Bugsy Malone, The Wizard of Oz, Fiddler on the Roof, Cabaret, and Play It Again Sam.
Colin co-directed a performance of David Ives’ All in the Timing. In 2004 he recognized by the New Jersey Association for Community Theater as a nominee for “Best Young Actor in a Musical.” He was awarded both “Best Actor” and “Best Student Director” for a one-act version of Waiting for Godot performed competitively at the Bucks County Playhouse.
Colin is a member of the International Thespian Society. He has written and directed a number of short films that have been accepted to several festivals in the tri-state area.
Colin studies and performs long-form improvisational comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) Theatre in New York City, the focal point for America’s industry-established and budding comedic actors.
Directing actors is his life’s passion.
Colin works to help his students find their voice as a performer, love acting, and have fun in class, and tries his best to serve as both a mentor and a friend.
