Congratulations to Kevin Csolak, 13 who just finished filming a SAG short called, 'We Could Be Ninjas.' Kevin played the lead role of Eric. The short film will go to festival this winter with the hope of being produced as a feature film next year. The picture shows Kevin with actors Jacob and Alix who played Kevin's friends in the movie. One of Kevin's favorite moments in filming was doing stunts that included getting hit by a car. He also loved the fake wound he recieved from the very talented make-up artist on set. Nice.
Congratulations to Anthony Amorim, 11 who just finished filmng an episode of 'Law and Order.' Anthony is seen in the picture on set with another child actor, Cruz. Anthony was thrilled to get to be on one of his favorite shows! We cannot wait to see this episode air! Sweet.

Katie Pisciotta, Melanie Sailer and Cali Weaver auditioned for the Knicks City Kids in July.
They had a great time at the workshop and then performed at the audition making the second to last cut in the process.
Their moms did a terrific job dressing them as super fans of the Knicks. Katie even had the word KNICKS in rhinestones
glued on her forehead. Star Maker is very proud of their hard work. They looked so great that they were interviewed
and photographed by the NY Daily News and the NY Post while they waited their turn to audition. All three girls participated
in Star Maker's Jazz/Funk workshop prior to attending the audition at Madison Square Garden. Melanie can be seen on the Knicks
website under Knicks City Kids 2009-2010 audition executing her side aerial. Great Job Girls! They are all planning to attend
the audition again next year. Each dancer had a great time and learned alot. They encourage any dancers ages 6-14 to tryout next year,
too. Thanks Kevin!

Star Maker School creates some local celebrities
From left, Kurt Csolak, Kathleen Weaver, Cameron Clifford, Leesa Csolak and Kevin Csolak, all of Raritan Township, at 'Waiting For Godot' in New York City, N.Y.
Star Maker School, of Flemington does it again. Star Maker is doing exactly what the name implies; training children to be professional young performers. Kevin Csolak, now 13, at 10 was the first to pave the road from Flemington to the Great White Way with starring roles in "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" and Cirque du Soliel's "Wintuk." Kristina Lachaga, now 13, at 12 took the road in the national tour of "Gypsy" as Baby Louise.
Student Cameron Clifford is on his own road to stardom in Samuel Beckett's "Waiting For Godot" off-Broadway at the Roundabout Theatre on 54th Street in Manhattan. The production, directed by Anthony Page, opens officially on Thursday, April 30. Cameron, just eight years old and a Star Maker stand-out for the past four years performs beside Broadway fame Nathan Lane, Bill Erwin, John Goodman and John Glover.
Cameron, a third grader at Barley Sheaf School in Flemington, boasts recent performances that include the holiday Verizon commercial airing on national networks, a spot on SNL with Ben Affleck and a TV pilot for Umi Zoomi for Nickelodeon. Cameron studies with acting coach Kathleen Weaver and teachers Leesa Csolak and Kurt Csolak.
"Waiting for Godot" revolves around two seemingly homeless men waiting for someone - or something - named Godot. Vladimir (Irwin) and Estragon (Lane) wait near a tree on a barren stretch of road, inhabiting a drama spun from their own consciousness. The result is a comical wordplay of poetry, dreamscapes and nonsense, which has been interpreted as a somber summation of mankind's inexhaustible search for meaning.
For more information on Cameron and other Star Maker students making headlines in the Big Apple, visit their website at www.starmakerschool.com.

Anthony Amorim recently appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Anthony was thrilled to get to do improvisation with Jimmy. Anthony, who does improvisation each week with Miss Kathleen in acting classes, did such a great job, that Mr. Fallon stated, 'he cannot wait for Anthony to come back on the show and do more comedic improv.' How cool is that? See more on Star Maker's own, Anthony Amorim on the 'Hall of Fame' page. Anthony is now a member of the Entertainers Dance Company and performed for the first time with the group recently. He had a terrific time dancing and looks forward to more fun with the Star Maker dance gang.

Breaking News on student Cameron Clifford, age 8, of Raritan Township, who recently was signed on to professional representation in New York City and landed his first big commercial. Cameron shot the holiday Verizon commercial which aired on all the national networks during the holidays. Cameron had fun working with the professional crew and director. The most exciting part of the day was meeting and working with The Verizon Network Guy! He also had the good fortune of nailing a spot on Saturday Night Live with Ben Affleck in November. Cameron has been a Star Maker standout for almost four years. He trains in acting, voice, dance and piano. Cameron wants to thank all his teachers at SMS and especially his sisters and Mom and Dad for letting him step up to the big leagues. Go Cameron!
Andrew George, 13, seasoned actor, dancer and performer booked a lead role in the short Film, 'Chickenpox.' Andrew was cast as the lead boy, Billy Sheen. Andrew had an amazing experience shooting for three days on Long Island and in Brooklyn, NY in December. The film is planning to debut in the Sundance Film festival and others. Andrew with a successful resume as a child actor is in SAG and AFTRA and can also be seen in the famous AT&T commercials, 'My BFF, Rose.' Congratulations Andrew!
Kevin Csolak, 13, appeared on MTV last month and in a MTV documentary film recently with Rapper, T.I. He performed with the famous Atlantic Records recording artist to his latest hit, 'Swing Yo Rag.' Kevin has been dancing for the New York Knicks as part of their Knicks City Kids team at Madison Square Garden this season. Visit the Knicks website for more info on the Knicks City Kids at http://www.nba.com/knicks/news/kck.html Kevin also performed Off-Broadway at New World Stages, NYC this past week and appeared on the red carpet with celebrities and Kevin James, star and producer of the movie, 'Mall Cop' at the movie's premiere in NYC this January.
Way to Go Kevin!

Check out Hannah Balzer, 13 of Raritan Township who can be seen in stores nationwide in the Hannah Montana 'How To be A Pop Star' video and toys. She can be seen on the front of the boxes, throughout the brochures and is featured in the video dancing and acting. Hannah had a great time making the video and hopes everyone who buys it has as much fun playing with it as she did making it. Hannah has been a Star Maker student for seven years studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Voice and Acting. Hannah is an accomplished soloist whose favorite style of dance is tap dancing. She is also a stand out member of the national champion, Entertainers Dance Company.
We are looking forward to seeing Hannah on stage again with Miley Cyrus. Great job, Hannah!
