MEGAN GECIK

Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre

Born and raised in Branchburg, New Jersey, Megan grew up training in dance, voice and acting at the acclaimed Star Maker School in Clinton, New Jersey. A Rockette by the age of 22, she has performed the touring production of the Radio City Christmas Spectacular and has extensive training in Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, Modern, Musical Theater, and Hip Hop. She graduated from Montclair State University with a BFA in Dance Performance. On top of being a dance educator, Megan is a certified Pure Barre Fitness Instructor and she is working towards becoming a certified Personal Trainer.

Private lessons will be structured to fit the means of each individual student. Strength, conditioning, flexibility and proper technique and alignment will be the main focuses. Precision cleaning for any solos, duo/trio or group dances is available as well.

 

EUREKA NAKANO - Ballet

EUREKA NAKANO is a ballet dancer, teacher, choreographer and instructor of EUREKA BODY: personally designed body training for dancers. Originally from Kyoto, Japan she was raised in New Jersey, trained at the Rock School for Dance Education in Philadelphia and has performed with multiple ballet companies in the United States such as Pennsylvania Ballet. She was the director of her ballet studio Y Ballet in Japan, guest faculty member of Broadway Dance Center and faculty member of nationally renown MRB (Matsuda Toshiko Ballet) of Japan. She has traveled internationally conducting ballet and EUREKA BODY master classes and workshops for ballet companies and schools in the USA, Japan, Czech Republic, Austria, Mexico, Kuwait and Malaysia.

 

AARON PARKHURST - Tap

Aaron has over two decades of Tap dance experience. Aaron is a Tap instructor for 24 Seven Dance Convention, Shuffles NYC, Dance Masters of America, Broadway Dance Center, as well as SLIDE, a week long tap intensive directed by Mike Minery. Aaron has also enjoyed a career in concert dance, working as a soloist and collaborator in NYC and LA. You can see him dancing on NBC’s new hit show World of Dance premiering in May 2017. He is a company member and soloist for AM Dance Project, in New York City under artistic director Anthony Morigerato, and performed at the NY City Center in the 125th anniversary show for Capezio. Aaron was also a performer, in TAP: The Show!, choreographed by Mike Minery, as well as the associate choreographer and dance captain for the National Tour. Aaron has danced, choreographed, and entertained for corporations such as FedEx, Hershey Entertainment, and Gaylord Opry Entertainment among others. Favorite theatre credits: 42nd Street, White Christmas, Thoroughly Modern Millie, and My One and Only.

 
 

ELISABETTA SPURIA - Jazz, Musical Theatre

Elisabetta Spuria started her professional career as a dancer/choreographer. She has been working with such artists as Mariah Carey (“Charmbracelet World Tour”) and Michael Bolton (“Only A Woman Like You! Tour”) as both associate choreographer and assistant director. She has been assistant choreographer, dance captain and performer in numerous theater productions: Footloose, Nights on Broadway III, the operas Carmen, Candide and Aida to name a few. Elisabetta has worked and collaborated with many directors and choreographers; Josh Bergasse, AC Ciulla, Andy Sandberg, Andrew Goldberg, Michele Assaf, etc. Elisabetta was the choreographer of the regional premiere of Spring Awakening (ReVision Theatre/TheatreC), Hedwig and the Angry Inch (LIVE Asbury Park), Hair directed by Andrew Goldberg, Chicago at the Michael D. Palm Theatre (Co), The Who’s Tommy directed by Carlos Armesto, Tess A New Rock Opera (NYMF), disOriented, a play by Kyoung H. Park, (Peter Jay Sharp Theatre), the Off Broadway play Zelda at the Oasis, Standby (NYMF), Madame Infamy (NYMF), Billy Lewis Jr.’s Jealousy (music video). In addition to that Elisabetta travels extensively to teach master classes and workshops throughout North America and across the globe. She has also been a guest teacher at! Broadway Dance Center and at Steps on Broadway in NYC.

 

TOMMY SUTTER - Jazz, Tap, Contemporary

Thomas is a NYC based dancer and choreographer working in musical theater and commercial dance across the US. Attending college at The Ailey School while simultaneously working as a professional tap dancer has given Thomas a diverse background as a performer. Some highlights include Nashville Music City Christmas starring Kelly Pickler and Hot Shoe Shuffle at The Wick Theater where he debuted his first principal role as “Buck”. 

Jazz Private: In private Jazz lessons with Tommy, students will get personalized technique exercises to expedite their improvement, as well as an opportunity to break through anything that could be holding them back as a performer and storyteller.

Tap Private: In private Tap lessons Tommy will give students hand picked exercises that will improve their technique and clarity in sound. One on one privates allow students to truly grow their musicality while learning to stay grounded enough to move.  

 
 

HANNAH ZIN - Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary

Hannah Zin, a NYC based performer, is a graduate of The Ailey/Fordham University BFA program and the Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School. Amongst many professional credits, her favorite include her work in opera, dancing with the Metropolitan Opera at Lincoln Center in multiple productions as well as with the Washington National Opera at the Kennedy Center. She fully believes her career as a working professional dancer enhances her work as a dance teacher and adjudicator and vice versa! 

Ballet - Whether you are a beginner or an advanced student of any age, Hannah's one-on-one attention and corrections will advance your technique, while helping you build strength and gain flexibility. Benefit from Hannah's extensive training in classical ballet combined with her work as a professional dancer and Pilates teacher to see how a better understanding of your body can lead to stronger technique!

Pre-Pointe - Prepare for your first pair of pointe shoes with a series of pre-pointe exercises that develop mobility and strength.

Pointe - Develop strength, control, and artistry en pointe. We will also take time to discuss the history and evolution of pointe work! Variations and coaching available for advanced pointe dancers.
